Description

The Fredonian Rebellion is the first event leading to the Texas Revolution. But are all revolutionaries heroes? In this activity, students will read and take notes on the Fredonian Rebellion while examining the essential question – Should Haden Edwards be considered a hero? The lesson starts by guiding them through a notetaking activity called “Yes/No But…” Students will then analyze their notes and create a Janus Figure depicting both points of view of the essential question.

This Activity Includes:
A 2 page reading on the Fredonian Rebellion with detailed information for the students to read
A “Yes/No, But…” Graphic Organizer for your Interactive Notebook to guide discussion and notetaking
A Janus Figure directions and template.
