Do you want your students engaged and challenged while learning about the American Indians of Texas? This history lab is designed to help your students compare the cultures of American Indians in Texas prior to European colonization with Word Wall images, a Vocabulary Activity, informational text and images in centers, Doodle Notes™, a History Lab to analyze, and a SCR writing assignment.
Your students will participate in extensive vocabulary building with Word Wall terms, and a vocabulary activity. They will then read about the different American Indians of Texas cultures such as Gulf, Plains, Puebloan, and Southeastern in centers and then take notes on their Doodle Notes™. Students will then use analyze images and quotes in a History Lab. Writing is built into the resource with a short-constructed response at the end.
