Teaching economics to 7th graders in Texas History can be tough! Do your students understand the free enterprise system? This resource is designed to help your students explain the impact of economic concepts within the free enterprise system such as supply and demand, profit, and world competition on the economy of Texas with Word Wall images, a Vocabulary Activity, informational text, Doodle Notes™, Texas specific Economic Placards, Scavenger Hunt Questions, and Economic Scenarios to analyze.
 
Your students will participate in extensive vocabulary building with Word Wall terms, and a vocabulary matching game. They will then read about basic economics, and the free enterprise system and take notes on their Doodle Notes™. Students will then use Scavenger Hunt Questions and find their answers on different Economic Placards. Practice is built into the lesson with Texas based scenarios at the end of the resource.
